Are assessments important before starting a training program?

Athletes are not able to move efficiently if their body isn’t in a position to do so. Incorporating assessments, strength training and data analytics into how we train players is part of the foundation here at ProChop Training. Since each and every player is different in every way, the key is to parse through the data and determine which pieces are relevant for each player. Below is a typical testing  segment for  players  and it’s broken up into several sections:

  • Movement and Strength Assessment
  • Video Review and Analysis
  • Kinematic Sequence Analysis
  • Segment Metrics
  • Segment Results

What type of trainer will I work with?

ProChop Training works with high school and/or college coaches, trainers and former players from all over the US. That’s the biggest advantage of the program. While most local youth and travel team coaches have some knowledge of baseball taught by a local dad, ProChop Training provides players with instruction by professionally trained and experienced baseball people who do this for a living.

What type of remote videos can be analyzed?

Almost all digital videos can be uploaded to our server and analyzed.  Youtube links or videos taken via iPhone are also great options.

How do I record a video?

The way that most people video record these days is with their phones or tablets. If you record with an iPhone or Android device, you aren’t going to have to worry about file formats, codecs, video compression or anything else. Video should be shot in horizontal mode. Once you sign up for your account, you will be given instructions on how to upload video to the ProChop Training team.
